Vanessa Ganguin
Managing Partner

Vanessa is one of the most highly regarded experts in immigration law, with over 25 years’ specialist experience in UK immigration. She is recommended by Chambers & Partners UK, Chambers High Net Worth Guide, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal as a leading individual and thought leader in commercial immigration.

Many of her referrals come from other legal practices – including other immigration firms on tricky matters – reflecting how highly-regarded she is as a safe pair of hands.

Attracted to the compassionate side of the legal profession, Vanessa led hundreds of human rights and asylum appeals in her early career in immigration, before establishing a human rights and appeals team in a leading City practice. Vanessa co-founded boutique immigration specialists Ganguin Samartin in 2015, before going on to found Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law specialising in all aspects of UK immigration advice.

Vanessa has an extensive network of contacts with key Home Office operational and policy personnel and has actively participated in developing UK immigration policy. She trains and presents to other professionals on current immigration issues and regularly writes articles on hot immigration topics.

As Managing Partner of the firm, Vanessa’s breadth of experience and passion for her field ensures the highest level of service to all of her clients, from corporate to private, with her very hands-on, responsive, friendly ethos.

Roberta Imperial
Associate Solicitor

Associate Solicitor Roberta has worked alongside Vanessa Ganguin for four years now on all areas of immigration law, corporate and private, helping a wide range of clients choose their best immigration route into the UK.

Roberta is currently working with a broad spectrum of businesses, preparing their sponsor licences for the UK’s new points-based immigration system.

After completing her law degree in London, Roberta completed the Generalist Advice Course at the Citizens Advice Bureau where she provided general advice on various legal matters. Roberta also provided advice at the University of Law’s Legal Advice Centre while on the Legal Practice Course.

Following completion of the Legal Practice Course, Roberta trained as a Solicitor at Ganguin Samartin where she assisted the firm’s solicitors with all immigration matters, business, private and nationality. Having been admitted to the Solicitors Roll, Roberta continues to work closely with Vanessa Ganguin at Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law.

Roberta believes that everyone should have a voice and equal access to justice regardless of their socio-economic background. Practising law allows her to have an active role in making this a reality.

Dean Oamen
Paralegal

Dean has joined Vanessa at Vanessa Ganguin Immigration Law, having worked alongside her at Ganguin Samartin, developing a skillset across the spectrum of corporate and private immigration matters.

Dean is particularly adept at the growing Global Talent immigration route into the UK for categories such as creatives, tech innovators, researchers and academics. He also works with a wide range of corporates from SMEs to household brands on sponsor licences – another increasingly important area, post-Brexit.

Prior to his career in immigration law, Dean competed as a triple jump athlete for the Great Britain junior athletics team and ranked in the UK’s top ten across several age groups.

He had his first insight into immigration law while working as a Student Immigration and Advice Assistant at UCL, and while working as a paralegal is completing his LLM Legal Practice Course. Dean enjoys working over the breadth of the Immigration Rules and using them to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

“Based on our experience I would highly recommend Vanessa’s ‘hand holding’ and professionalism for any immigration issue as it ensured a painless and efficient experience for both of us."
