HR Magazine immigration thought leadership

Spring is here. The sun is out, as are snowdrops, daffodils, floral shirts and the 132-page Spring Statement of Changes to the UK’s Immigration Rules. In my latest article in HR magazine I outline implications for employers, who they can sponsor and how, including:

  • Curbs to self-sponsors and investors sponsored as Skilled Workers
  • Curbs to the costs that can be recouped and potentially clawed back from sponsored workers
  • Minimum salary threshold rises for Skilled Workers on the most discounted rates
  • Creative workers on the Temporary Work – Creative Worker visa can’t fill permanent vacancies

  • Changes to visitor rules

As well as other important upcoming work immigration changes, including:

These Spring 2025 changes, which you can read in the article (link below) accompany a rise in enforcement activity and queries from UK Visas and Immigration.

With compliance more important than ever, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the changes, or any questions about UK immigration, nationality, right to work and sponsorship procedures and compliance.
