The Home Office’s full roll out of the settled status scheme has now begun for over 3.5 million EU citizens living in the UK, as well as all their family members. Brexit means they will have to apply to the scheme to stay in the UK, or risk being stripped of their rights.

The Home Office insist the process will be smooth, former Home Secretary Amber Rudd insisting it would be “as easy as setting up an online account at [fashion outlet] LK Bennett.”
