Best Lawyers have used a purely peer review methodology for over 40 years for their legal profession guides. The methodology is designed to capture, as accurately as possible, the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.
Commenting on the Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom 2023 survey in the Financial Times, Phillip Greer, CEO of Best Lawyers said: “The legal industry has changed tremendously over the last decade, and it’s becoming a lot more collaborative.
“More and more businesses want their counsel not only to provide them with legal advice and feedback, but to act as a business partner. And with developments in technology, providing access to lawyers at all hours of the day is expected.”
Lawyers across 35 metropolitan areas are listed this year, with most of those recognised by the Best Lawyers guide in London.
The 2023 Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom guide contains 84 legal practice areas and has published statistics for the most searched areas of law in the guide.
Interestingly, immigration lawyers were the most searched on the online guide.
